Rainbow Divers established PADI in Vietnam in the mid ‘90s and are now synonymous with professional diving and training throughout the country with PADI 5 star centres in Nha Trang, Hoi An, Whale Island, Phu Quoc and Con Dao.
They have the only 2 PADI Course Directors at the only PADI CDC, 5 Star IDC & National Geographic Centre in Vietnam.

The Rainbow Academy is based in Nha Trang, the diving capital of Vietnam. It is easily accessible with a short domestic flight from Saigon or Hanoi. Cheaper train & bus connections are also available. We can also offer the option to take part of your training at one of our other centres throughout the country.

- All programs are packaged up to completion. We have a range of options for Clients that wish to stay on after their I.E:
PADI Spec instructor 5,250,000 VND (plus PADI application fees).
MSDT (includes Spec instructor) 21,000,000 VND - 5 Instructor specs and 25 certifications.
PADI Staff Instructor 37,000,000 VND
If you would just like to gain teaching experience and unlimited diving after your I.E 16,000,000 VND per month.
- For succesful candidates we can assist you in finding permanent employment in Vietnam, Asia and certain other parts of the world
- Additional Instructor level training programs available up to Master Instructor
- For an additional fee we can arrange to split your training between Vietnam & Thailand. We work with Mermaids in Pattaya, an outstanding CDC & National Geographic Centre.

This is the highest non-professional recognition that a recreational diver can achieve. To become a PADI Master Scuba Diver you must be certified as an Advanced & Rescue diver and take a minimum of 5 PADI Specialty Courses.
We recommend that 3 of your Specialties are Deep, Night & Navigation.
The other 2 (or more) can be chosen from the following:

We at Rainbow Divers firmly believe that the MSD rating should be a mandatory step for meeting Divemaster performance requirements. It can be completed before or during the DM course.

The PADI Divemaster course can be taken over a 1-3 month period. At the end of the course you will be an experienced & professional Rainbow-Trained PADI Divemaster!
The DM course is your entry in to the professional level of diving. This course will teach you how to deal with certified and un-certified divers in and out of water. You will learn about the Physics and Physiology of diving. In addition, you will also cover subjects on Equipment, the Environment, Dive Skills, and Decompression Theory. We will teach you how to conduct PADI programs that fall within the remit of PADI Divemasters.

So now you are a PADI Instructor, what’s next?
The Rainbow Academy offers Instructors professional con-ed courses.
THE IDC STAFF PROGRAM
This is a 3 month program which takes new Instructors through the real-life experiences of actually teaching students, marketing within the dive industry and invaluable equipment & compressor training.
You will achieve at least...
- 25 student diver certifications
- 5 PADI Specialty Instructor training & ratings
- PADI MSDT rating
- PADI IDC Staff training & rating
- 150 additional recreation/training dives
- Compressor & Equipment servicing & maintenance experience
You'll also have invaluable ‘hands-on’ experience of working at one of the 5 Rainbow Divers Centres throughout Vietnam (looks great on a CV!)
